
“This is all just a big experiment,” I keep telling myself, “no pressure.” But the hours tick away and I find myself staring at the cursor. I nudge the mouse to give myself the illusion that some sort of work is being done, but I’m stumped. Self-doubt continues its steady ebb and flow at the corners of my mind.
My sister, Yulia, and I decided to start a brand as a project to help her finish her design degree at the Odessa Design University. Physically, we are an ocean apart. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and she lives in Odessa, Ukraine. Our family obligations drive our daily lives relentlessly, but there is something ethereal that binds us, that applies to both of us regardless of distance and time.
We share a common approach to style, an approach as certain as the physics that rule our world. Lovely Gravity is a realization of that unwavering constant.
